Welcome to the FIRST ANNUAL NEW YOU NEW YEAR 5K Run Walk and Roll, presented by the Jax Melanin Market Inc. The Melanin Market's mission is to serve as a cultural destination and marketplace that highlights Minority Businesses while providing creative place-making outlets for community fellowship.
Mental Health disorders affect the lives of millions of people today in so many different ways. So let us Help support mental wellness, string up your laces, and let run, walk, or roll in the new year with a better mental state
The event will start and finish on A Philip Randolph Blvd at the A Philip Randolph Park.
Participants can run the 5K, walk it or roll the distance. For safety purposes, please note that those who roll will start on the other side of the street, next to the runners to avoid collisions.
All EARLY 5K entrants will receive a special race shirt if entered by midnight Dec 30, 2023
On race day, all participants will receive a commemorative medal as they cross the finish line.
The early entry fee for the 5K is $25 until midnight Dec 30, 2023. The late entry fee is $30 until Jan 5, 2024 at 3pm when online registration closes. Race day registration is $35
There is also a special discounted entry fee for a family of four, $80 until midnight Dec 30, 2023 and $100 after that date.
All 5K participants will be chip timed by the Jaguar timing system.
We have lots of great activities after the event so please plan to stay at the park for our DJ music, food and beverages.
